Emergency situation?
Do not waste time reading if the animal is not breathing or unconscious. Call a vet immediately.
Burns
For a fresh burn or scald, cool the area with cool water or a damp compress as quickly as possible, but do not use ice and do not apply creams or ointments.
After cooling, keep the cat warm and calm and have it examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible; for a chemical burn, it's important to bring the substance's packaging along if possible, so the vet can understand its composition.

Not a substitute for a vet
The information in this app comes from open sources and the experience of cat owners. It does not replace a consultation or an examination by a vet. Decisions about your pet's health and care are the owner's to make — if in any doubt, contact a vet.
