Emergency situation?

Do not waste time reading if the animal is not breathing or unconscious. Call a vet immediately.

CRITICAL

Difficulty Breathing

An open mouth, rapid breathing, an extended neck, noticeably increased abdominal effort, noisy or wheezing breathing, and bluish or very pale gums are always a reason to go to the clinic immediately. Before you leave, keep the cat as calm as possible, don't force it to move, and don't try to "wait and see if it passes."

Not a substitute for a vet

The information in this app comes from open sources and the experience of cat owners. It does not replace a consultation or an examination by a vet. Decisions about your pet's health and care are the owner's to make — if in any doubt, contact a vet.
